O-D Bowl Announces All-American Tight Ends

This year's crop will bring plenty of size and athletic ability to Arlington. The West squad will be led by Dadeville High School's Darrion Hutcherson, a 6'7 250-pound four-star prospect committed to Auburn. He will be joined by Charles Brush High School's Pharaoh Brown, a 6'7 230-pound four-star prospect with around 20 offers. Among the schools currently interested are Michigan, Oregon, Arizona State, Colorado, Boston College, North Carolina, NC State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, West Virginia, and Purdue.

"Hutcherson and Brown are big kids with plenty of room to grow, "said Offense-Defense Director of Player Personnel Josh Buchanan, "Hutcherson should eventually be the starter for Auburn and Brown is a guy who could play either side of the ball and will be a huge late addition to whoever is able to sign him."

The East squad will feature Yulee's Kelvin Rainey, a 6'3 215-pound four-star prospect committed to South Carolina. Rainey had offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami (FL), South Florida, Rutgers, Arkansas, Southern California, and North Carolina. Rounding out the group is Nation Ford's J.J. McCullough, a 6'5 232-pound Clemson commitment who had offers from Kentucky, South Carolina, Miami (FL), and Duke.

"Rainey has played both sides of the ball and can make plays not only at tight end but running back and on defense, "said Buchanan, "He and McCullough both are great athletes who can catch and have good strength while McCullough is a guy who has the potential to be as good as he wants."

The Offense-Defense All-American Bowl is part of the largest Youth All-America Event in the country known as Offense-Defense Bowl Week, a series of events taking place during the last week of the year culminating in the nationally-televised high school All-Star game on December 29th. The game has in the past seen the on-field talents of a wide swath of football stardom including Dez Bryant, Cameron Newton, Stephen Garcia, Rolando McClain, and Joe Haden among many others.

In addition to the high school game at Cowboys Stadium, events will include a Youth All-American Game, a Youth National Tournament, a High School Junior game, and a Youth Football Convention, all within the confines of Arlington, TX. The Youth Convention will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Arlington on December 26-28 starting at 10am on the 26th. The event is expected to bring over 8,000 families from across the country to the region.
