O-D's McCoy Shines at Spring Scrimmage

Does O-D know how to pick 'em or what? The University of Texas Longhorns held their annual spring scrimmage Sunday and 2010 O-D Bowler Case McCoy, younger brother of former Longhorn and current Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy, was arguably the best player under center on the day for the vaunted, albeit rebuilding, program.

Case took the field with a mixed squad of backups and walk-ons and spent most of his time throwing against the Longhorns' first-team defensive units. All told, McCoy was one of four Longhorns' quarterbacks seeing time on the field and set the pace for the signal-callers completing 9 of 11 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown strike.

2011 O-D All-American and Longhorns freshman QB David Ash was among the other three quarterbacks getting reps and hasn't been ruled out as a candidate in what seems like a wide open audition for the starter's spot this year.
