With each iteration of the Offense-DefenseAll-American Bowl more and more of its players are finding themselves usheredon to the next level after college. Several players from past editions ofthe Bowl are participating in college all-star games as NFL prospects.
Playing in the Casino Del Sol All-Star Game out in Tuscon, Arizonaon January 16th will be LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee.
Another alumni, Stephen F. Austin cornerback Ben Wells- a former Texas transfer - will play in theNFLPA All-Star Game on January 21st in Los Angeles, California.
Two former stars will participate in the inauguralBattle of Florida on January 21st in Boca Raton, Florida.South Carolinaquarterback Stephen Garcia and Ole Miss running back Enrique Davis are the O-DBowlers involved there.
The East-West Shrine Game will feature three formerO-D All-Americans on January 21st in St. Petersburg, Florida. Those three are South Carolina defensivetackle Travian Robertson, SouthernCal defensive tackle DaJohn Harris and Miami defensive tackleMicanor Regis.
The Senior Bowl, the most prestigious of all-stargames, will feature Texas A&M wide receiver Jeff Fuller and wide receiverNick Toon of Wisconsin,both having previously played in the O-D Bowl.
"This just shows the level of talent that has comethrough Offense-Defense over the years and in my first year shows me the barhas been set high as I continue to increase the talent level in our game, "said Offense-Defense Director of Player Personnel Josh Buchanan, "I'm proud tosee the talent we have had in past games."
